​The Bakehouse at 124

Thanks to the vision of the client, Littleworth Ltd was given the unique opportunity to work in this 16th century, grade 2* listed building, transforming it from a very sad men's outfitters, into an artisan bakery and coffee shop. The first step was to obtain change of use and conservation planning permissions.

Having completely removed all fittings, electrical and mechanical systems, we installed new services, including power and plumbing, constructed new toilets and re-decorated throughout. Joinery work was carried out, with the installation of the custom designed and built front counter and bakery displays. Consideration for the age of the building was critical and minimal alterations could be carried out to the timber structure which meant that small details became key.

The result was a very satisfied client and successful fit out - so good that it was awarded a Civic Society Commendation Award!
